The Bondi house extension clients approached our studio to design a stand-out renovation. It became apparent quite early on that to tick all the boxes, we had to engage with the existing building style and reinterpret the charectoristics that defined it.
In order to maximise the sun-filled rear yard, the project started by “unclipping” a prior addition refurbishment at the back of the house and reprogramming the floor plan.
The result; a well-functioning but cost considerate outcome that is now welcoming and enjoyable for the owners.
